Overview
The Corpus Christi Refineries East and West plants are located in Corpus Christi on the Texas Gulf Coast along the Corpus Christi Ship Channel. The East refinery processes sour crude oil, and the West refinery processes sweet crude oil, sour crude oil and residual fuel oil. The feedstocks are delivered by tanker and barge via deepwater docking facilities along the Corpus Christi Ship Channel, and West Texas or South Texas crude oil is delivered via pipelines. The refineries' physical locations allow for the transfer of various feedstocks and blending components between them. Other finished products are also distributed by ship and barge across docks and third-party pipelines.
扣扣传媒 commissioned the grass-roots Bill Greehey refinery in 1983, now referred to as the West plant. This facility is considered one of the most complex refineries in the world. The East plant was acquired in 2001.

Volunteering Time
扣扣传媒 Corpus Christi Refineries play an active role in the community through volunteerism. For the past few years, our volunteers have collectively logged more than 12,000 hours volunteering in our community, including participating in:
- Reel it in for Kids, a fishing tournament 扣扣传媒 sponsors for United Way.
- Earth Day Bay Day, where 扣扣传媒 gives away hundreds of plants to the community.
- Doggone Days, where volunteers donate dog and cat food to an animal shelter.
Charitable Donations
- $1 million distributed locally through funds raised at the 扣扣传媒 Texas Open Benefit for Children.
- $175,000 was provided to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Texas for families who stay at the House near the hospital as their children receive treatment.
- The Coastal Bend Food Bank鈥檚 鈥淏uilding Hope鈥 capital campaign received a big boost from the 扣扣传媒 Energy Foundation with a $1.5 million kick-off gift to help build a new 108,000-square-foot facility.
- Largest contributor to the United Way of the Coastal Bend.
Community Partnerships
扣扣传媒 meets monthly with members of the Corpus Christi Community Advisory Council, which is comprised of residents living near the industrial corridor.
Environmentally Responsible Operations.
- The refineries invested millions of dollars in emission control technology over the past decade
- Flare Gas Recover Units have been installed at both plants: East (2015) and West Plant (2011). This process recovers waste gas that would normally be flared and instead is used as fuel gas elsewhere.
- We use renewable natural gas from municipal solid waste to produce low-carbon transportation fuels.
